Light Stone — Toni Grilo x Cosentino
For its first participation in Lisbon Design Week, Cosentino City Lisboa presents Light Stone, a capsule collection developed in collaboration with designer Toni Grilo. Opened in July 2023 at Tivoli Fórum, the showroom marks its debut at the event with a proposal that challenges the traditional perception of stone, taking Dekton® into unexpected territory: lightness, movement, and near suspension in air.
The project stems from a desire to reveal a new expression for stone, freeing it from its association with weight and rigidity. Working with ultra-thin Dekton® surfaces, Toni Grilo explores the possibility of almost bending stone like a sheet of paper, opening the way to forms that seem to escape the material’s natural constraints.
The new collection presents compositions that investigate planes and folds in a subtle balance between structure and fluidity. It proposes material gestures that challenge the perception of Dekton® and invite visitors to discover new expressive possibilities for a material renowned for its performance.
At Cosentino City Lisboa, the exhibition unfolds within an environment that brings together technology, design, and experimentation. The installation highlights the versatility of Dekton® beyond its conventional applications, demonstrating its potential as a surface capable of inspiring sculptural, architectural, and artistic approaches.
Light Stone thus stands as Cosentino’s manifesto for its presence at Lisbon Design Week: a reflection on the future of materiality and on technology’s ability to transform stone into an almost ethereal element. This debut reinforces the brand’s commitment to innovation, to collaboration with leading designers, and to pushing the boundaries of contemporary design.
During Lisbon Design Week 2026, visitors will be able to explore this new installation, gain insight into the creative process behind it, and discover how Cosentino’s technology enables high-performance materials to adopt new languages within architecture and design.
The digital tools available on-site facilitate the testing of combinations, comparison of finishes, and visualization of proposals, supporting the natural evolution of each project. All within an environment that reflects Cosentino’s vision: innovation, sustainability, and material excellence applied to contemporary architecture and interiors. More than a showroom, Cosentino City Lisboa is a place where ideas take shape, where matter transforms into architecture, and where design finds a territory to evolve.
