MALGA was born in Lisbon but has always had its roots firmly planted in the Alentejo. "This creative space emerged after I completed my master’s degree in Industrial and Product Design, as I wanted to continue designing everyday pieces with a strong handcrafted component.
Its origin and inspiration come from traditional customs, the ways of making and using ceramic pieces. I believe that essential objects have already been created by someone at some point, and it makes perfect sense to give them new life.
My goal has always been to explore everyday objects and use materials in their purest form — unique and functional pieces, handmade in small batches."
