A cocktail presentation of the new Sam Baron X Maria Terracotta collection, a tribute to the local craftsmanship of the Portuguese family business Maria. Now, several pieces of a complete tableware set celebrate the art of entertaining at the table, a prime meeting point for the Portuguese.
The Sam Baron X Maria Terracotta collection is a tribute to the local craftsmanship of the Portuguese family business Maria Terracotta.
Maria is the name of the grandmother of the owners of the ceramic production company in the Porto de Mós region, which uses the regional natural resource of terracotta. Sam was inspired by the functional and decorative objects produced by his grandmother Maria and reworked, in a contemporary way, the details that made them unique. Friezes, curves and undulations compose the shapes of the vases, centerpieces and now several pieces of a complete tableware set celebrate the art of entertaining at the table, the meeting point par excellence for the Portuguese.
The glazes, in shades of green, beige and blue, applied to the top of the pieces embellish the clay, evoking the natural beauty of the region's landscape and paying homage to the land.
