OOCA X Santos Monteiro present: TAYLOR Illustrated Carpets
Inspired by the intersection between tradition and contemporaneity, this capsule collection offers the three guest authors the chance to explore an unusual medium, in this case: A carpet. Each piece was conceived as a unique expression of their artistic identities, and they were given free rein to explore the limits of Santos Monteiro's TAYLOR® service according to their aesthetic vision.
Each author was asked to conceive 3 design proposals to be applied to TAYLOR® carpets. The result is a collection of 9 unique carpets that seek to redefine the concept of the decorative object "carpet", but also to elevate the dialogue between illustration and interior design. Between unconventional formats, bold colour palettes and enveloping design layers, each creation is a statement of identity and sophistication, designed for spaces that value detail and exploratory design.
The exhibition at the OOCA gallery is more than just the presentation of a collection; it's an invitation to explore and feel the materiality of TAYLOR® carpets, the emotional design and the aesthetic impact that these pieces have on their surroundings.
