Launch of The Book of Fairs with a talk by Felipa Almeida
The book is born from the desire to give permanence to an ephemeral gesture and gathering memories, ideas, collaborations and moments that transformed them into a creative laboratory. The book is also a gesture of gratitude towards a generous community that embraced challenges, explored new territories, and, together, built a space for discovery and encounter.
Both the launch and the exhibition take place at the historic Farmácia Gomes, which was opened in 1934 and has been preserved in its original architecture.
The launch of the book will be celebrated with a talk with Inês Meneses, Isa Toledo and Madalena Parreira from Hunchback Society, three artists who participated at some of the fairs and Joana and Mariana, the graphic designers who made the book.
By bringing together publishing and curating, book and exhibition, the project celebrates not only the closing of a chapter but the energy it generated — a place of surprise, encounter and ongoing discovery.
