or Lisbon Design Week 2026, Fantastic Frank Lisbon presents an exhibition of Alan Louis, an artist, designer and ceramicist based in Portugal. Working across furniture and sculptural objects, his practice explores material as a carrier of emotion.
Each piece is handcrafted in his Ribatejo studio and produced in limited editions, rooted in traditional ceramic processes. Surfaces appear raw yet controlled, with a strong sense of weight, texture and stillness. Minimal forms are subtly disrupted, creating a quiet tension between softness and structure.
Staged as a lived interior, the exhibition unfolds as an atmospheric composition rather than a conventional display. Objects are placed in dialogue with space, light and architecture, inviting a slower, more tactile reading of the work.
